THANKSGIVING DAY and FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Mass for this Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) is in the Church at 9 AM.  After this, we put the Laus Tibi, Christe Mass away "for a time" (a few months) and bring out a simpler chant setting of the Mass (Mass XVIII, which we've done oftentimes before) for Advent.  The Gloria is also put away at that time (there is no Gloria on Thanksgiving Day either, but nonetheless...), with the exception of one solemnity (Immaculate Conception, December 8), and will return in full force on Christmas.
