Sunday XII

MUSIC FOR HOLY MASS

Prelude: Improvisations on Breslau
- Breslau is one of a number of tunes often associated with the hymn Take up your cross.  This is not the tune we are singing at the offertory (we are using the tune as written in the hymnal), but I figured I'd note the association. ;)

Messa Populare "Laus Tibi Christe" (Federico Caudana)
Psalm 63: R./ My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord, my God (Fr. Samuel Weber, OSB)
- Fr. Weber is a Benedictine priest whose musical works are published at the famed St. Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad, Indiana.  He is also associated with the Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
