Sunday VI, and Putting the Alleluia Away with a Bang!

This Sunday is the last before Ash Wednesday in the Ordinary Form of the Mass.  Those who celebrate the Extraordinary Form sang their last Alleluias two Sundays ago, as that calendar has Septuagesima, often known as that "little Lent before Lent".
What a better way to celebrate this last Sunday before Lent than to "put the Alleluia away!"  While there is no place for such a rite in the Mass itself (ordinary or proper), there is always putting it away in the form of other song.  In the case of this weekend, the anthem during Communion (Festive Alleluia by Gordon Young) will serve such purpose.

Another way would be to add some extra gusto (organ and voice) at the Alleluia before the Gospel.
